Understand Test connection versus Save

You can distinguish connectivity, saved credentials, and a real provision transaction.

Manage → Host control → Web hosting → Web servers → Test connection

Prerequisites

  • WHM form filled in
  • Test connection: read-only `version` and `listpkgs`. Success message looks like “WHM reachable — N package(s) visible”.
  • Save: stores encrypted credentials as a CPANEL_WHM provider. No account is created.
  • Paid or free customer order that auto-provisions: calls `createacct` and is a real hosting transaction.

Host Access Control

HTTP 401/403 with no WHM JSON usually means the server blocked LuraFlow before credentials were evaluated. Allow the platform egress IP in WHM → Security Center → Host Access Control (and cPHulk whitelist if enabled).

Success

Test connection is green, Save completes, and the server appears in the provider list as CPANEL_WHM.

Open this setting on luraflow.com — uses the safe login redirect. Never opens another tenant hostname.
